It don’t matter where you bury me!!!

Don’t matter where you bury me

When I go, don’t cry for me
In my Father’s arms I’ll be
The wounds this world left on my soul
Will all be healed and I’ll be whole.
Sun and moon will be replaced
With the light of Jesus’ face
And I will not be ashamed
For my Savior knows my name.

It don’t matter where you bury me,
I’ll be home and I’ll be free.
It don’t matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away.

Gold and silver blind the eye
Temporary riches lie
Come and eat from heaven’s store,
Come and drink, and thirst no more

It don’t matter where you bury me
I’ll be home and I’ll be free
It don’t matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away

So, weep not for me my friends,
When my time below does end
For my life belongs to Him
Who will raise the dead again.

It don’t matter where you bury me,
I’ll be home and I’ll be free.
It don’t matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away

I’ve been listening to this song lately.  I’m in hospice, so the reality of death and dying is always infront of me.  Sometimes the topic of burial comes up.  Where is the big question.

Listening to this song it’s amazing how much it doesn’t matter when you have a Kingdom of God perspective.

1Th. 4:16 states:

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

It’s great to know that those I’ve known who’ve followed Jesus Christ will be there in heaven and will be free.  It is a concern for those who don’t know and follow him as their personal savior that other fates may await them.

Rom. 2:16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.

Rev. 21:1-8  ¶ Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.  And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will well among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

¶ And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Then He said to me, “1aIt is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. cI will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.  “aHe who overcomes will inherit these things, and bI will be his God and he will be My son.  “aBut for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
